Corridor of life

Iam taking what seems to be a never-ending walk along this long, long corridor of life.All along the sides are some beautiful clothes and some trash cans.I know not whether I will get to adorn myself with a few of those beautiful clothes as I pass by or whether I will get booted into one of those trash cans.I do know however, that Iam craving to walk the walk to the very end with my head held high, even if it means rolling out of a trash can that I get shoved into, somewhere on the way.

Valentine's day

Yesterday was Valentine's day.Stupid over-hyped concept!I had, as always, scaled such great heights of joblessness ... while lying down on my bed and staring endlessly and blankly at the ceiling, lost in God knows what thought, I happened to notice and admire, of all things, the intricate designs on the central hub of my ceiling fan!!! In a mood for some weird experimentation, I immediately switched on the fan, dragged a chair beneath the fan, climbed onto it and took a pic of the central hub in motion.It's interesting how everything else got hazed out n the lil embossed plain dots on the hub's rim, began to show up as cute lil hearts due to the fan's circular motion! If not me, atleast my fans are smitten by the Valentine's day effect after all ;)

There she was, blissfully innocent and contented in life!She was single and happy... until he came into her life and stirred the serene peace.He did have a lot of things that a charmer must, but little did she know,a conscientious mind he didn't.He stood facing her, looked deep into her eyes and asked "I love you.Do you love me too?".Here's the priceless moment captured on my cam:

n thus began the story...He used her as much as he could; the frolicsome duo had all the fun n frolic they could.Wow!It was fun clicking this one at the cost of intrusion of their privacy :

Then came the time to move beyond frolic."Iam weak and wary now,I need your support" she said.He scorned at her and thoughtlessly disposed her off.Once a priceless possession, she was now a price-less one.He walked away without a second look and she continued to shout her throat hoarse until she could shout no more.She could shout no more, for she had grown dumb with the shock of having been let down.He turned his back on her and inhumanly walked away:

The caption of this post - "stir-use-dispose" might sound much like the instructions on a tea bag.Little would it occur to any reader at the first sight, that this could indicate a nauseating display of a "Mei mard hu.Kuch bhi kar sakta hu" male ego, leading to a social menace that has left thousands of hapless women at the mercy of a cruel fate. This was a very moving theme of a play that I recently watched.It was staged by my batchmates and was brilliantly executed to the last detail.Even humour was sprinkled upon such a sensitive theme!I hope to write about the play, some time soon on My Weblog.For now, it suffices to summarize that it is a sneak peek into how a woman who is deceived into conceiving outside wedlock is mercilessly deserted by her loved one after his cheap pleasures are satisfied, and how she is then detested by society for the crime of infanticide that she is forced to commit in order to survive in a conservative society.I tried to weave the story around a few nice pics that I had clicked at the Alibag beach and here's the result.

My friends were rolling on the floor laughing when they saw how much the photography bug had bitten me.I don't blame them...It's indeed funny to see someone stealthily walk into a bathroom with a camera in hand!Bearing the mockery was well worth it...I loved the shoot I got.Zoom this in several times.The clarity is amazing for a low-end cam!

CLicked this one at a signal when I was travelling by auto.She was selling toys a lil far away.The moment she saw a camera aimed at her, she shouted out a cry of joy and came running with these toys.I love the smile on her face.Seems like a mighty happy soul!

I saw her sleeping peacefully right on the floor and ran to fetch my cam to capture that blissful sleep.Drat!She had woken up just then.n then I hallucinated that someone was singing this to me:

I'd love to start the New Year with something that I absolutely love - KIDS!Kids with all their uncontaminated innocence, charm, fun and frolic transport me to a distant world that Iam very very fond of, a world that I'd long to visit as often as I can, a world that's diametrically opposite to the big bad world that I live in...So here's starting the New Year on my photoblog with a whole week dedicated to capturing the same kid in various moods.It takes a lot of effort and patience to get them to pose the way one wants but the result is well worth the effort.Here goes the first one of a series of the result of my incurable love for kids:

Workshop models were such a pain to carve to the precise shape and size specified. If I had been even one hundredth as good as the sculptor who carved this statue, I would've been spared from starring in the drama of pretending to swoon during workshop classes,so that the attender would do all my workshop models for me!

Position the picture on your screen so that only a small portion of the top portion of the pic is seen.Now concentrate on the tip of the green blades and scroll the page up and down through the entire height of the pic.I love the effect!It reminds of those folding fans that they use to decorate Ganesha idols.
